Health and Safety Protocols

To ensure maximum safety, Advarra has instituted mandatory health and safety protocols for all attendees, speakers and staff who attend the event in person.  For those unable to travel or meet the vaccination requirement or follow the event code of conduct defined below, Advarra offers a hybrid meeting option

Updated March 18, 2022 – Use of masks at Onsemble now is optional. Masks will be provided onsite for those who wish to wear them. We remain committed to hosting a safe and engaging event for our attendees.

All in-person attendees must agree to the Onsemble event Code of Conduct:

  • Provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. You will be asked to present your vaccination card (or a photo of it) at registration on-site. We also encourage attendees to consider receiving a booster shot prior to attending the conference.
  • Follow all safety protocols set by event staff, including masking
  • Not attend if you have tested positive for COVID-19 (even if you don’t feel sick)
  • Not attend if you feel sick or exhibit symptoms
  • Be respectful of your fellow attendees– everyone’s comfort level with social interactions is different

On-Site Safety Measures

Public health guidance on preventing the transmission of COVID-19 continues to evolve, and Advarra will base its on-site protocols on the latest guidance from the CDC in addition to local regulations in Savannah.  Attendees should be aware that, while Advarra will make every effort to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission on site, it is possible that attendees will come in contact with people in airports, hotels, and around the convention center who could potentially carry the virus, which is why Advarra is requiring attendees to be fully vaccinated for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

In-person attendees will be provided with kits containing a mask, alcohol wipes, and hand sanitizer in the registration bag to use if they wish, and additional supplies will be available at the registration desk as well as sanitizing stations throughout the meeting venue.

Sanitization

Even though the science now shows that COVID-19 transmission is unlikely to occur from touching surfaces touched by multiple persons (i.e., lecterns and internet stations), staff will clean these regularly to promote healthy sanitation overall.

Protective masks

Onsemble will follow Chatham County and the city of Savannah’s mask policies during the meeting. As of March 1, 2022, the current mask policy states that masks are no longer required. Use of masks at Onsemble now is optional. Masks will be provided onsite for those who wish to wear them. We remain committed to hosting a safe and engaging event for our attendees.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What type of vaccination does Advarra require?

For the purposes of right of entry to the Onsemble annual meeting, a person is considered fully vaccinated:

  • Two weeks after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines; or
  • Two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine, such as the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine

Advarra will accept a full course of immunization with any vaccine that has been authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The product may be either fully authorized or authorized under an emergency use authorization or equivalent at the time of travel (see list of eligible vaccines). Vaccination with an agent that is not included on the WHO or FDA website as authorized will not be accepted.

How will Advarra verify vaccination status?

Attendees are required to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated to receive their name badge.  A name badge is required to attend all conference related events.  This includes all sessions, meals and offsite events.

Will everyone at the meeting be fully vaccinated?

In addition to all attendees, all Advarra staff working at the meeting will be fully vaccinated; however, Advarra is not legally able to require local convention center staff to be vaccinated. Advarra is working with local entities in Savannah to develop on-site protocols in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, including requiring all hotel staff to wear masks.  Read more about how our venue is working to ensure safety here.
